Chat during archive viewing

How chat is displayed during archive viewing depends on the stream settings. The behavior differs depending on whether “Chat Replay” is enabled, as follows.

Streams where live chat is displayed in sync with playback

  • Messages posted during the live stream are displayed in sync with the archive playback position.

  • All messages before the current playback position are displayed. Messages after the current playback position are not displayed.

  • If you rewind, messages after the new playback position are no longer displayed.

  • You cannot post chat messages during the archive period.

Streams where all chat messages are displayed at once

  • When you open the stream, all messages from both the live stream period and the archive period are displayed.

  • You can post chat messages during the archive period.

In either case, you can scroll up in the chat to view messages back to the very first one.

Notes

  • Time until the video is available
After the stream ends, it may take some time for the archive video to become available.

  • Video start time
Because the live stream video is used as the archive, the live performance may begin some time after the video starts. If the video shows a still image for a while after playback begins, fast-forward to the point where the live performance starts.

Depending on the streaming method used by the event organizer, fast-forward and rewind may not be available during archive streaming.

The +Archive link points to the Japanese article (/ja/). If an English version exists, replace it with the /en/ URL.
